Lake Michigan

Lake Michigan, the second largest Great Lake by volume with just under 1,180 cubic miles of water, is the only Great Lake entirely within the United States. Approximately 118 miles wide and 307 miles long, Lake Michigan has more than 1,600 miles of shoreline. Averaging 279 feet in depth, the lake reaches 925 feet at its deepest point. The lake’s northern tier is in the colder, less developed upper Great Lakes region, while its more temperate southern basin contains the Milwaukee and Chicago metropolitan areas. The drainage basin, approximately twice as large as the 22,300 square miles of surface water, includes portions of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Great place and perfect for my family's needs! Easy wBeach! private beach on Lake Michigan!!

Cozy clean and great host!

Beautiful place with a very responsive host! The lake is very close and the house is filled with all you’d need to make meals for the trip.

Erick’s place was clean and relaxing.

Beautiful location. Cozy, well stocked home. Can walk to the silver lake dunes from the beach. Quiet location with amazing views within short distance.

Nice, cozy but modern and clean cottage. Great location. Host communicated very clearly and quickly when we had any questions. Would stay again.

Great place! Dunes and beach are pretty. Erick was very responsive and a great host!

Great comfortable and fun place to stay!

Erick's home was very clean and neat. The community beach is close by and lovely for viewing the sunset. Erick is a great host - helpful with suggestions about the area, too. Amanda

Great location! Great host! Very clean cottage, well stocked kitchen, had everything we needed for a fun weekend! Would go back!

This place is a must! Walking distance to the dunes made for lovely evening and early morning walks. The house is so cute and CLEAN! The kitchen was fully stocked and made it so easy to make the majority of our meals at the house. The host was amazing and was always available via call or text and was happy to offer suggestions on things to do or places to eat. He is probably the best host I’ve dealt with. We will be back!

Wonderful small house in a quiet setting. Beach is within walking distance. House was clean and easily accessible. All the basics were there. Very happy with our stay and will stay again in the future.

Me and two of my coworkers stayed here and it was perfect for us. It's a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a beautiful outdoor area with a firepit/grill. Unfortunately, it stormed most of the time we were there so we couldn't enjoy it. Verizon cell reception is pretty bad here but the wifi is good so we had service the whole time we stayed. If we are ever in the area, we hope to be able to stay here again! Highly recommend!

This cabin is in a great location, super clean, and perfect for our family. Erick was really responsive and kind throughout the check-in process.

Perfect, quaint location, with a view of Lake Michigan and just steps off the dunes. The cottage was extremely clean and well cared for and the kitchen was stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. The wifi is fast and reliable! No complaints. We had a great stay and would stay again. Perfect for our family!

Enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect and Erick was a great host

My young son loved this trip! Right away, he said he wanted to live there! We enjoyed checking out the sunrise easily accessible by the trail in the back yard to the dunes. A cute and secluded spot. We loved the coziness of the house. Rena

Although the house is very cute, easy to find and has all the amenities for a great stay we did sadly have some issues during our time. We had a difficult time checking in. It took almost 90 mins to gain access to the house. With 4 guests we were given 1 roll of Toilet paper. The house had a very intense smell of cat urine that ruined our stay. There weren’t any instructions on how to use the gas stove so breakfast was baked in the oven. Although Erik “bought” our dinner due to us not being able to cookout our steaks because of check in issues, we found it a little tacky that he refused to pay for taxes and tip. When I told him our stay was a bust, he replied, “Thanks-it was a bust for me too”.

Great location with private backyard access to the dunes. The beach is also very nice and only a short walk away. Erick was very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely home in a great part of Michigan. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets on the quiet Lake Michigan beach. There are fruit orchards and markets all around, and our kids loved Lewis Farm store and petting zoo.
